Taking Harmonica Lessons
May 14th, 2008A harmonica or mouth harp is a free reed, musical wind instrument. It has multiple, variably-tuned brass or bronze reeds which are secured at one end over an airway slot in which they can freely vibrate. The vibrating reeds repeatedly interrupt the air stream to produce sound. A harmonica is more portable compared to a guitar and you can keep it in your hand bag. You can make alluring music by blowing in and out to make different notes and sounds. Taking harmonica lessons is much easier than the piano, the guitar or the violin.
All you need to do is to blow at the right place for the musical notes like C, G major, G7, F, and so on. Since it is so portable and compact, no longer than 6 inches in total length, you can bring it around freely for social activities, gatherings, sing-a-long sessions and parties. It is the easiest musical instrument to learn and you can make nice sounds just simply blowing while moving the harmonica left and right around your mouth without strictly following a music score.
You can learn a harmonica in a school as part of your extra-curricular activities. It is very relaxing and you can even give a harmonica performance to the parents, teachers and students. This will enrich your life and you learn to enjoy music even more and brought to higher levels of musical appreciation. And when you attend concerts, musical performances, and the like, you will find your investment is well worth every dollar. You can let your kids take up harmonica lessons which will be easily picked up and mastered. Music makes our lives more wholesome and enjoyable. It calms the nerves and makes us more alert when driving the car while playing soft music in the background.
